Aston Villa and West Ham United Target Pedro Goncalves

Aston Villa ramp up their pursuit of Pedro Goncalves, while West Ham United also express interest in the Sporting CP winger.

Aston Villa are eyeing Pedro Goncalves to bolster their attacking options, with West Ham United also reportedly interested. The 26-year-old winger, who plays for Sporting CP, had a stellar season, scoring 18 goals and providing 17 assists in 49 appearances. Goncalves' impressive performances have caught the eye of several Premier League clubs, including Villa and West Ham.

Goncalves' release clause was previously set at £80 million, but the departure of manager Ruben Amorim to Manchester United could pave the way for his exit. Villa, under Unai Emery, are keen to strengthen their squad and see Goncalves as a key addition to their attacking lineup. Recent reports suggest that Villa are preparing an offer for the talented winger, indicating their serious intent to secure his services.

While West Ham are also scouting Goncalves, particularly after his standout performance against Manchester City in the Champions League, their interest does not seem as concrete as Villa's. The Midlands club are ready to act on their long-standing interest in the Portuguese star, aiming to enhance their firepower in the final third and push for a stronger finish in the Premier League.
