Norwich City new boy Emiliano Marcondes has praised Aston Villa star Emiliano Buendia as a "very good player." The 29-year-old Danish midfielder recently joined Norwich after being without a club since the summer, following the expiry of his contract with Premier League outfit Bournemouth. Marcondes made his debut for the Canaries at Carrow Road earlier this month, contributing to a convincing 4-0 win against Hull City.
Marcondes, who played against Buendia a few times during their respective careers, highlighted the Argentine midfielder's abilities. “I played against him a few times. [He is] a very good player,” Marcondes stated on BBC Radio Norfolk.
Currently, the 27-year-old Buendia has seen limited action this season, featuring only 13 minutes of league football as he works on regaining his match fitness following a long-term injury. He has, however, captained the Villans in two domestic cup matches this term. Buendia was a key figure during his time at Norwich City before his transfer to Aston Villa three years ago.
As Marcondes aims to impress at Norwich and secure a longer contract next summer, he will be keen to showcase his potential against established talents like Buendia. The coverage of this story is sourced from Inside Futbol, noted for providing engaging football news and features.
