After an impressive start to the season, Aston Villa are set to reward attacker Morgan Rogers with a substantial pay rise in his new contract, sources told Football Insider.
As reported by Football Insider, Rogers joined Villa in February 2024 from Championship side Middlesbrough on a relatively modest contract. As reported by Football Insider, the Midlands club do not expect any problems in contract negotiations with the attacking midfielder. It is believed Rogers will be paid more to align with his more experienced teammates.
Aston Villa have also recently secured a new deal for Jhon Duran after interest from Premier League rivals during the summer transfer window. Duran, like Rogers, has made a significant impact this season, contributing to Villa’s pursuit of a top-four finish.
Rogers is in contention for a first England call-up after scoring three goals and providing three assists this season. He has started in all 13 of Villa's games across the Champions League and Premier League.
